"My mother and I stayed for 4 nights the week before USA’s Mother’s Day and had an incredible experience. The manor house, property and views are stunning. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. I loved having multiple lounges and outdoor spaces to choose from. Every evening i had tea and/or dessert by the fire which was one of my favorite parts of my trip. I was impressed with breakfast and dinner which I do not say often because I am a bit of a food brat from NYC which is hard to live up to, but Hyll consistently did! The location is perfect for exploring the cotswolds while also feeling private. Lastly, I love Hyll’s focus on relaxation, slowing down and “doing nothing”. This detail heavily influenced my decision when I was researching accommodations. We already can’t wait to come back!"

"The breakfast was the best part of the stay. The room was clean but very tired, the bathroom needs refitting. The hotel is very busy, lots of coach tours and large group bookings. Very noisy. The setting around the lake is pretty. I think it is a little overpriced."

"A lovely well maintained hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly. When I arrived home I realised I had left my watch in the hotel room. I called the hotel and they posted it that day and it arrived at my home the next morning. Very impressed with the efficiency and honesty of the staff."

"The hotel does not have personnel in the front desk. They said they sent a code by mail. Well, never happened. A hotel needs a front desk, for many reasons. NEVER AGAIN"

"Lovely room, comfortable bed and a brilliant breakfast! Friendly, helpful staff as well. Excellent location, only five minutes walk to the centre of Bourton."

"The rooms and staff and all were very nice. The town is extremely small though and these gigantic buses came through and dropped off loads of people so it no fault to the hotel but the peaceful tranquility gets a bit lost when there are too many people for the four places in the town."

"It was a very nice setting outside but inside could have a better layout, felt like a business lounge in the airport. Staff were friendly and helpful but did have a few issues with orders which resulting in myself eating separately despite the meal costing around £300. Unfortunately too many children around for us having a night off from children! Lots of rooms downstairs so perhaps some adult only areas? Lots of children in the Spa which made the experience quite unrelaxing. Very overpriced for the experience in my opinion. Sadly wouldn’t return. Although food was delicious and bed very comfy!"

"Good check in very friendly receptionist. Room lovely, larger than expected, clean and full of charm, nice touch homemade cookies. Downside was view which looked onto a full skip of rubbish! Selected hotel for the rooftop bar, however this was closed, had we been advised of this would have probably selected something cheaper. Bar area is lovely, shame the cellar section in the pictures used to promote the hotel, seems to be only for events and functions.Dinner was amazing great food and service, breakfast however was very disappointing. For the price the continental was very limited no cheese or meat. Lots of choice on the hot options unfortunately when it came the bacon was burnt and the black pudding was overdone. Was asked if they could get us something else, but this was as they were clearing which was too late, no one came over during the time we were eating to check if everything was ok, they were too busy chatting! All in all mixed review lots of good but also plenty to improve on."

"Everyone at the Manor House was friendly and helpful. The check in was easy, dinner service and food was excellent and breakfast was delicious. Thank you for a great stay in Moreton in Marsh. "
