"A charming hotel. Rooms were large & well maintained. Staff were great- nothing was a bother. Included breakfast was hearty & tasty. Certainly a hotel to recommend to friends and family."

"The heating and cooling system cannot be adjusted, making the rooms too hot and the hotel stuffy. Hotel cleaning staff were everywhere (including towels and carts sprawled out in front of the elevators) and were not friendly. Despite the number of staff, the body wash in our shower was not filled and only had about two pumps before it was out when I showered. Only stayed for one night and the location by the airport was convenient but wouldn’t recommend this hotel."

"Très bel endroit bien entretenu propre le chauffage dans la douche, le soin pour les cheveux et le corps était très apprécié, les employés étaient tous curieux de savoir d'où nous venions, tous très souriant juste un peu déçu de ne pas avoir séjourné dans le château c'est ce qui m'avait décidé lors de la sélection, nous étions situés dans une aile sans trop de charme extérieur."

"Room was clean but sparse with no phones Heated towel bar did not work. Room heat automatically goes down every 120 minutes to 16 degrees Was very disappointed to be told that as I booked through Expedia I would not accumulate Priority Club points"

"We stayed at Braid Hills Hotel for the first 3 nights of our honeymoon, and had a fantastic stay! Staff were lovely and very accommodating. Location was a bit far from downtown, but easy enough to get everywhere using the bus, and there was a bus stop right out front. Food in the restaurant was good but a little pricey. Hotel and rooms were clean and comfortable. "

"We at first got a room which was too warm, with the airco not working. Gladly we got another room. Bathroom (for disabled) could use some renovation. Staff was helpfull. Nice lobby with free tea and coffee for guestst. Superb location for exploring Edingburgh, buses and trams stop right in front, incl. the Airlink bus. Our room was at the side of the hotel, nice and quiet. Overall, recommended."

"Lovely room, very clean and generously sized. Bay window looked out onto the road and views of the Murrayfield Stadium. Unfortunately the whole room shakes whenever any bus or large vehicle travels down the road. Trying to sleep with a shaking bed took some getting used to. Breakfast was disappointing. I expected better with the additional cost. No Bananas or Apples, just a selection of sliced fruit. One morning, I asked for more yogurt but they had ‘run out’! It was 8.30am, it’s not as if...

"Second time I have stayed here. Very convenient for Edinburgh, with a bus stop right outside the door. Bar area and breakfast were very good. Parking is limited and you may not always find a space. The pool area is basic but satisfactory."
