"Darren View is an exceptional property and I really enjoyed my stay whilst visiting The Open golf championship. The double room with en-suite was immaculate with a very comfortable bed and modern bathroom equipped with an easy to use shower. Modern LG TV that ran my favourite apps over good WiFi. Generous tea and coffee provided with snacks daily and cold water jugs for guests in the fridge in dining area was a thoughtful touch. "This is a cute old hotel, but clean and updated with sitting room. The shower was very difficult to figure out. Dining was nice and the pub had many areas to sit. Parking is free and plenty of it. In the heart of the town. Not much going on in this town. "

The quad room is great if you have teens - they have their own room and there is a communal living room upstairs with netflix prime etc if they don't want to watch with you in your room. He was so helpful as well. We appreciated the atmosphere and charm of the house. Very comfortable and warm feeling. "The host (Robert) who comes in the morning to cook your breakfast is what sets this property apart from any place I've ever stayed. And I've traveled to almost 30 countries now. He's enjoyable to talk to and genuinely enjoys his guests. He has great info and insight and cooks an excellent breakfast as well. The dining room coffee machine brews excellent coffee options too.
