"My room was on top floor, a bit warm but had a fan. Bathroom was nice and clean but the carpet in the rest of room needed a good vacuuming. Also quite dusty, but for the price, it was ok. Breakfast was traditional English. Coffee is never to my American tastes"

"The staff at the breakfast were lovely and really helpful. The room was fine and as I expected. However, I felt disappointed by the advertising of the swimming pool. I emailed the leisure centre days in advance to ask if I could book the pool, they never replied. I asked at the reception how to book and they said it's an additional cost on top of the booking and to contact the leisure centre but they didn't seem too sure. I tried calling the leisure centre multiple times and they never picked...

We never were able to use our reservation and did not stay after paying in full. I called earlier in the day to confirm, and they gave me the lockbox location and code, but upon arrival by taxi (after midnight) there were no keys in the box, leaving us alone outside with no car. "The hotel is OK. Our room was on the groundfloor and seemed a bit tired. It wasn’t a large bed and we were kept awake from 4 -5am by the television in an adjoining room. Parking at the hotel is easy (reduced payment for guests) and it’s convenient for the M5 and Exeter airport."
