"The room was clean and tidy, however when we stayed last year we had bottles of water in our room but this was not the case this time, I brought my own last year but didn't this year as I thought that bottles of water would be in our room. I also requested an extra pillow as the 2 pillows I had were flat, reception made a note of this but the pillow never arrived. Staff were all very welcoming, helpful and pleasant. "Castle itself is great. The annexe rooms are very small, basic. Bathroom again is tiny and cramped. Its a shower /bath which if mobility issues would be hard to get in and out. Shower ran at lukewarm . Would be better to rip out and install standing walking shower. Rooms all need a full refurb."

"The room was tired and Amenities were poor. Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. Reception welcome was far from a welcome. The bathroom was filthy with black mould marks and the Bathroom door was completely rotten. The walls were paper thin - I was kept awake until after midnight.
