"We had a very enjoyable two-night stay at Sheriff Lodge. The owner accommodated our early check in, which was very kind of her. Throughout our stay we had good conversations with the owner, who was a lively lady. Room was nicely decorated. The bed very comfortable and the room/bathroom exceptionally clean. Breakfasts were freshly cooked to perfection, with a wide choice. Location was ideal for the town, albeit the walk back up the hill took us longer than the walk down :) Most definitely...

"Great location and quiet room . The couple who own the property are both lovely and helpful. The room has all the amenities you could wish for , they have considered what a guest might want or need . You can park off street . The room was a little on the small side but adequate for one or two nights . The continental breakfast is adequate and the fresh coffee as very good . The property was full so the breakfast room was too and we felt a little bit close to other tables ."

"Really beautiful property with a character. Parking available in front of property. Super clean and room was good size. No tea making in room but David is happy to provide at any time. Breakfast was freshly made and was delicious. Especially liked home made marmalade. Walking distance to a pub and an Indian restaurant. Walking trails nearby. Many Peak District attraction within easy driving distance . Overall a nice stay with super nice hosts. I would stay again. "
