"Liked the comfortable bed. Did not like being on a corridor which led to the door to the main staircase. this meant that the door was slamming regularly from 7.00am onwards. One receptionist, Jane was very good and kind and helpful. Another was frankly unhelpful and dismissive. I was advised to run both hot and cold taps in both wash basin and shower so as, eventually, to obtain hot water in the afternoon and evening because "the piping is old". "Everything was great except the room cleanliness was a little lacking which was made evident when accidentally the bed was pushed a little and what appeared then wasn’t great . Also the lack of air conditioning was a problem in these extraordinary hot days and made our night a little uncomfortable. "For the Pros - The staff. I cannot fault any interaction I had with the staff. Very helpful and responsive to any request made. The facilities. The Ground floor was well equipped, 24 hour reception, nice bar, nice looking restaurant, plenty of seating and even a pool table. There is a swimming pool with steam room, hot tub and sauna. "This is well-situated hotel close to the city centre. The staff were friendly, flexible and efficient. I had to delay my checkout for an hour and staff were most amenable. I’ve had better breakfasts but overall, I had a positive experience and will likely rebook the next time I am staying in Sheffield.
