"The hotel was close to the Basel train station and walking distance to the zoo and to Old town Basel where there are lots of museums, churches, shops, grocery stores, and restaraunts.The staff were super; kind, helpfull offering a welcome drink which you can enjoy in the garden. I didn't est breakfast there but the dining room looked lovely so I could only imagine that the breakfast was an enjoyable experience. One of the best hotels that I stayed at in Europe."

"Did not see a pool - or a gym - there was not even a relaxing area. There was no-one on reception on arrival. And the building itself felt like a concrete hostel block. I have zero idea how this hotel ever got a 4 star rating. The rooms were clean, comfy and equipped as advertised and the continental breakfast was plentiful."

"A Really convenient location, directly opposite a tram stop for access in to Basel, but it is only a 10min downhill walk to the city centre, so used more for the return to the hotel. We got free travel tickets for bus and tram rides in and around Basel. It is also valid for the return trip to the airport. So worth investigating about the free transportation. "

" Our room was clean and comfortable BUT it was very hot and we couldn’t turn the temperature down. We slept with the window open which helped a bit but it was then very loud with outside noise. That was the only negative. The staff was excellent as was the breakfast. "

"Some reviews say it is a 10mins walk from the train station. There are 2 train stations and the international one, we came in from Strasbourg, is a 36mins walk! Our mistake but worth noting. The bus back ( which is free) stops outside the hotel. A functional busy hotel with friendly efficient staff ideal for a 1 night stopover"
