Also the area Brussels Midi is not a good area, directly across from the train station and very sketchy and lots of homeless and people on drugs. We didn’t feel safe walking after dark. Also very dirty, lots of littering in the streets."

"We loved our beautiful hotel in Bruges, just steps from the main square. Royals had lived in this building so it has some history. The bar, sitting areas and lobby bathrooms are beyond elegant. There are framed paintings and beautiful furnishings and lighting. You feel like you are in a palace. Staff was helpful and friendly. We didn’t try breakfast because we wanted to go find waffles instead. The spa rooms would be better if they were located in a more quiet area instead of next to the gym....

"Centrally located on Rue Royale, Motel One is about 7 minutes walk from the Grand Place. It's less than that to other places of interest such as Mont des Arts, Magritte's Museum and the Royal Palace. The tram and buses run down Rue Royale and Brussels Central train station is less than 10 minutes away. The foyer with it's floor to ceiling windows is large, welcoming and well laid out with lots of areas to relax and enjoy a drink from the bar. Be that a coffee, tea, something soft or alcoholic....
