"Belizean Shores is the perfect place to stay if you want to be out of the chaos of downtown San Pedro. Even though you are outside of town, there are lots of restaurants near by and it's only a 15 min golf cart ride to town. Secret beach is quick and easy to get to as well from there. The resort itself is beautiful and well maintained. They did their best to clean up the sargassum everyday, I found it to be much cleaner than other resorts I walked by. You can swim off the end of the dock as well...

"The property is amazing, lots of beautiful birds to see right from the porch area. The river is a 10 minute walk from the property. You can cool down and listen for monkeys. The Staff is super friendly and helpful. The meals are delicious, self-serve bar is awesome, and dining area is outside so you can enjoy being in nature. "The penthouse was an excellent option for our family- the well apportioned kitchen was great as we did get tired of overpriced resort food. In general this was a perfectly good beach resort in a pretty quiet corner of Belize. The excursions were excellent and well staffed. We loved that they did toasted marshmallows on the beach at sunset and the diving platform was a hoot. "This was such a special part of our Belize holiday. The staff was amazing, the rooms were absolutely gorgeous, and you can see that everyone working there takes great pride in excellent hospitality.
