"First of all, I was mislead by Palmer house. On Expedia site it was written as a hotel resort. I reserve room using Expedia based on that fact that I am reserving a hotel room. Total amount of charge was $368.98. In reality when I came to this facility, it was a dirty very low-class motel. Front desk person except the fact that this is not a hotel but motel. He told me that they have few good rooms as well. On my question why they sold me motel instead of hotel rooms, he was unable to answer....

"Great place my wife and I enjoyed our stay."

"Very clean and nice hotel with comfortable beds! Appreciated the bar/ restaurant right next door!"

"We were on a 16 day trip across New England and stayed at 8 hotels/inns. This hotel was the only one we regret booking. The staff was excellent and tried to help us all they could but the facilities were a problem. I only upped the rating because of how wonderful the staff was. We knew it was a hotel that allowed animals but that hasn’t been a problem at other hotels. It was a problem in room 3211 at Vervana. First of all, Building 3 needs a serious renovation: painting for sure and some...

"Beautiful view. I stayed Sunday so it was nice and quiet."

"The lodge was amazingly convenient on the main highway. Gorgeous views. Friendly staff. Robin was working and he was very professional and friendly. Only reason I would not give it five stars is that the room itself was very basic and simple. Very outdated. Reminded me of a Ramada Inn. So $350/night (off season) and the room wasn’t very nice. Also the highway in front of the lodge is very loud with nonstop loud pickup trucks and cars. I understand this isn’t the hotel’s fault, but just something...

"I felt a little abandoned by the manager because she had very limite hours when she was available. The was pleasant and responsive when we did see her, but . . . Bathroom was clean and all, but design didn't allow space for a woman to lay out makeup and personal items. Very limited. Beds were very comfortable. Glad to have frig and microwave."

"This place was great! Bed was super comfy. Excellent view of the surrounding mountains. Definitely a solid place to stay!!"

"Great location, simple room--minimalist but nice with microwave, fridge. Was a great place to set up headquarters for our trip to Vermont. Beautiful view behind the motel with firepits. It is a self-serve kind of property, which suited us well. We stayed 4 days and they didn't come to clean throughout. But we could go to the office and pick up anything we needed: extra toiletries, towels, etc. We enjoyed staying at the Aspen."

"It was a beautiful property with friendly staff. The room was very pretty but the mattress was very soft and the pillows were tiny. We loved the fireplace as well but when you lay down you can't see the fire and it was uncomfortable to sit at the end of the bed. A cozy area should be in front of the fire place. However I would still stay there again."

"Amazing place in a beautiful setting!"

"What a refreshing change from the typical cookie-cutter hotels! This motel has its own unique personality, with quirky charm and a different vibe from the usual mainstream accommodations. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which is always my top priority. I loved that it felt distinctive and had character rather than looking like every other hotel room. If you appreciate places that are a little different, have charm, and offer a clean place to stay, this is definitely worth...

"The check in process was very frustrating. I booked through Expedia and wasn’t able to access my reservations through their online booking portal. A lodge TV at gas rooms dates in the 70s should probably have staff to check in if they can’t keep up with the technology"

"The room was supposed to be 2 king beds, but it was 2 queens so we had to sleep in separate beds. When we walked in there were spider webs and various insects everywhere. The floor was very uneven with various holes. Some had toilet paper stuffed in them because there was no Kleenex provided in the room. The good parts were a large bathroom counter, a nice shower head, the tv worked, and the mattresses were decent. Keep in mind there’s no amenities, but it’s affordable compared to everything...

"Had a great stay. Owners extremely friendly and welcoming and the Lodge lobby was cozy and warm for all the guests to hang out in (which they did!) in the evening. The hot sit down breakfast was delicious and large. Can't say enough good things about how comfortable we were staying here. Highly recommend!"
