"Good hotel. Very contemporary; buffet breakfast included. We walked to the old part of the city/cathedral - probably about 40 minutes walk but can stop for a coffee along the way! Restaurant and bar in hotel. Hotel also close to many other restaurants/bars"

"Leider ist die Belüftung der engen Kabinen (Größe Schlafwagenabteil in Europa) problematisch. Während unseres Aufenthaltes roch es penetrant nach verstopftem Abfluss (wo auch immer die Luft innerhalb des Terminals angesogen wird); von wirklicher Frischluftzufuhr kann aber auch so keine Rede sein; es ist sehr stickig, der kleine Ventilator in der Decke dafür recht laut. Eben gesamthaft eher eine Notlösung, bevor man in der Abflughalle campiert."

"The transfer from the airport is a bit tricky, look for a guy with a black polo and an orange logo… once in the hotel if you arrive late the kitchen might not be working and there are few options to have late dinner. The room was very spacious and clean, I had a great night sleep but it took around 40 minutes for the AC to cool the whole space as the room is extremely big and they don’t run the A/C 24/7… Breakfast was basic and the hot options were cold, but as I was hungry I was able to have...

"Hotel Sagarnaga is in an excellent location right in the middle of all the action on Calle Sagarnaga. Our stay was smooth overall, featuring an easy check-in and check-out, reliable luggage storage, and a decent breakfast spread to start the day. "This is a good, solid, clean, well-run hotel at the level of 3 or 4 stars. It presents itself as a FIVE-star hotel, however, and that is "false advertising." It lacks air conditioning, for instance, and thus exposes guests to the heat that the intense high-altitude sun produces in North-facing rooms. Moreover, it clearly shows its age; no signs of recent upgrades. Thus, it is clearly not a top, luxury hotel & does not deserve 5 stars. 3 or maybe 4 stars -- that is its level."

"If you are looking for an amazing location near downtown La Paz, the Illampu Art Boutique Hotel is a great choice. The hotel was clean, comfortable and had a wonderful breakfast with fantastic views of the city. The staff was incredibly helpful. Jimena helped us with everything from taxis to tours to finding places to eat. We felt extremely welcomed at this hotel and would definitely stay here again."
