"Decor snappy, woodwork stained, bathroom grubby. Needs TLC. Very noisy"

"Don’t come here expecting the Ritz - but we were very grateful to find a room that could accommodate 4 during Brighton Pride at the last minute. Yes carpets are threadbare, yes the furniture is missing handles. But (except during pride weekend) this would be a cost effective and well located spot to sleep in. Beds were comfy. Bathroom was run down but clean. It entirely suited our purposes - imagine a much friendlier and slightly shabbier Fawlty Towers."

They must change the carpets because it was really dirty & full stains you require a bigger fans as the small fans are not useful, I was hoping that I would go to a hotel with Air condition & I was given a room on the 3rd floor & it was difficult to go up & down as I have arthritis on my left leg. "Really nice apartment in a good location, super clean, well equipped and great WiFi. Parking allocation is a bit of a faff along with first time entry, ideally they need to allow you to book parking along with the room. It's the fifth time I've stayed, so they are doing something right 👍"

"Was required to cancel my booking then rebook, I was told this was due to a change of management. Whole process took an age. OK to flop in after a gig, not a place to stay for more than one night."

I strongly suspect the hotel does not comply with heath and safety rules. We received a refund from Expedia, but I would not have any confidence in receiving a refund directly from the hotel. "We had a gorgeous stay at the Art House, beautiful garden and view over the church! The room was clean and spacious with gorgeous details. Would definitely come and stay! Hosts were so friendly and lovely :)"

"Tristan carried our biggest suitcase up to a clean, well stocked room, which was perfect for our needs in spite of being a tight fit (which our larger case exacerbated). Great location to walk to the promenade, friendly pub downstairs, and excellent soundproofing - didn't hear anything from our second floor room. Will happily book again if we're in the area"
