"Room very tired looking and needed updating. Bathroom smelt. Not very pleasant ! Toilet tool holder hanging off the wall but cleanliness was the big issue for me personally"

"Spa was lovely and enjoyable. However my room smelled of stale smoke, the bathroom had mould round bath. No air con and window did not open. When I reached up to try and open it was very dusty. No mini fridge. At the bar I was the only customer, i said i was sat outside (in view of the bar) but drink did not arrive. When i went in, it was just sat unattended on the bar. Felt overall a little disappointed. Chose not to stay a second night. "

"Parking was very easy and staff were amazing. Only thing I would comment on is the room we were in was looking a bit tired and was in need of a deep clean a lot of dust in higher up places and the breakfast should have more options."

"This is the second of recent stays we have been in very dated rooms, first visit no hot water and this time the cold water tap on the bath didn't work at all! Spoke to manangement who said we should have called maintenance, however at 7.30am and with 2 dogs who would bark and wake other guests not a considerate option! should have worked in the first place! Manager did suggest he would contact me after we left but so far he has not! Not sure we will stay again now, very disappointing as we have...

"Lovely refurbished hotel with very friendly staff and nice food. Restaurant not open Mon-Tue but can still get good pub food in the bar each night. Wasn’t a problem for us, being March but no air con in rooms."

"Absolutely beautiful hotel in such gorgeous surroundings. From the drive up to the car park, the walk through the walled gardens to the elegant reception hall everything blew us away. Then we got to the room and once again our expectations were met and exceeded. What a beautiful room we had (304). Sumptuous bedding on what could only be described as huge and lovely decor throughout. All staff were amazingly attentive and enthusiastic. "Stay was absolutely shocking. Raves in rooms next door till 2.30, then arguing till 4.30 and staff wouldn't remove them. Room was dirty, poorly lit and boasts about "bedside plugs" which won't exist. Was told my daughter could go swimming. But upon entry was declined as they required me to go in, although I couldn't for medical treatment. "

"We booked the room for a overnight stay to catch a flight the next morning. The room had everything we needed for the short stay. "

"Room was OK (King Suite), neighboured with another room - unfortunately neighbours were far too loud. (We used ears plugs otherwise we'd need to change rooms. Lack of drinking water in the rooms. The room itself was a bit dim with worn furniture. Bathroom lacked ventilation and thus accrued mold on the blinds. Had several disturbances in the night with noise. Poor signal with a small outdated TV. Good large fluffy bath towels, comfortable bed. Nice view from the window. Good breakfast selection....
