"The property is beautiful with all the surrounding lush gardens and pools. Because the property is so large, the slight down side was having to have our whole family of 14 shuttled to and from the pool and restaurant every time. Overall though, we enjoyed our stay very much."

The staff speak very limited english and therefore that did make it complicated to voice our needs. There was some renovations being done on the bar area by the pool and the bathrooms by the pool were not the cleanest. Limited beach access as well."

"Breakfast goes from 6:40am-10:00am. great selection of food from rice, beans, chilaquiles, meats, plantains, fruit, cereals, there's even an omlette station and waffle station. Tea selections include black, green and herbal. Hot coffee and hot milk available as well. Juices usually were orange and some type of red (our guess was papaya). Filling because it is all you can eat. "

"Absolutely beautiful. Lots of onsite activities and it was really easy to plan excursions and trips into the more populated areas. The only thing that needs improvement was the food. Sabernero Steakhouse was delicious but all of the other food was extremely low quality for the price. Definitely expected way better for a resort of that caliber. "Beautiful Hotel, monkeys swinging through the trees and the biggest iguana I've ever seen, and the sunsets took my breath away. I'm already dreaming about our next visit."

"We loved the hotel, however we were woken up by loud construction going on in the property each morning and our shade was broken in our room which was never addressed after we reported it several times. The only other thing is if you are going to this hotel DO NOT FLY INTO SJO. THE TRAFFIC IS DANGEROUS AND 5.5 hour drive. Expedia is at fault on this. They should not even have it as an alternative. It’s like wanting to go see the Alamo and they fly you into Dallas."
