"The Radison Blu was a very upscale hotel sitting right on the River Shannon in Atlone. A short walk across bridge to Castle & old town. The room was quiet, clean & well appointed . We appreciated them being able to allow us early check in. The Double overlooking the River was quite large & the bathroom very updated. "We have stayed here before and received the usual warm welcome from the owner. The location is to the east of Carrick town, on a side road set back from the M4. The accommodation is quiet though. Bedrooms are cosy and homely.. A good breakfast in the dining room is ensured. Plenty of safe parking space."

"Rosdarrig House is a beautifully maintained residence. The room was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was perfect. Our hostess and her helper were very accommodating. The only drawback was the evenings were very chilly so I couldn't sit outside in the garden to watch the sunsets. That's no fault of our hostess."

"I wanted ground floor unit due to 2 people having mobility issues. sent property a request for this with no reply. arrived to be told on 2nd level with stairs as the only access. asked if we could change to ground level & told no sorry. This made our stay difficult for the ones navigating the stairs with their mobility issues "
