"What a pleasant place this was. We had food in the Dolly bar and it was excellent. The staff are very helpful. The room was clean and had everything you could want
If I was being picky it would of been lovely to of seen outside lights from the bar so you could see the river in the dark"

"Easy check in and car park okay if spaces a little tight.Room okay if a little tired and no charging points for mobiles etc.
Breakfast good and gym and swimming pool area okay changing rooms cramped and have to walk through the gym to the pool?
Bar drinks as with most hotels too expensive and they wonder why people go out to eat and drink "
"The stay overall was quite good but it was a disappointing experience.
After booking we where informed that work was taking place and we may be subjected to noise.
I made contact to explain this was to be a special break for my Wife's 60th Birthday and they should have warned us about possible disruption before booking.
A reply was sent apologising for this, but told us to make contact with reception where steps could be made to make up for this. Upon check-in reception knew nothing about this and told us the Email we had was from Expedia and they hadn't been informed, so could do nothing for us. This despite the Email being 'signed' by the hotel.
The room itself was ok, usual size with Tv and tea/coffee facilities. Couple of items could have been cleaner but nothing major.
The shower was easy to use with good flow and temperature, unfortunately the cubicle itself was rather small. Shame really as there was some wasted space around the enclosure.
And now the 'view' ? I wasn't expecting the rolling hills of Cumbria but the part derelict building that filled the window was a surprise to say the least !
The cooked breakfast was made to order and arrived hot in good time, though the half Black pudding slice was a bit stingy. Coffee was good and a decent array of cereals, toast etc."
"The hotel was beautiful with a great view and located close to attractions. The staff was hospitable and polite. Diego, Miguel, and Natasha were very helpful and have made the trip one to remember. Do recommend a visit.👍"
Carlisle Station Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by BW
6/10 Okay
"Rooms are shabby all round but the curtains were falling of the rods, the windows were in a sad state and the bathtub was awful. My room looked directly onto an alley full of commercial garbage bins and a rooftop bar was directly across from the window. The tv remote had no back and was held together with duct tape."
"The first thing you will notice is it looks a bit dated when you walk in, but don't let that put you off because the 2nd thing you will notice is how lovely and warm the place is, kudos to the owners as we know how much the heating costs nowadays.
My room was lovely, cannot complain, probably could of done with a bit of decorating but still it was nice, sleep wise it was ok, the mattress sunk a bit in the middle but not enough to stop me sleeping well.
Breakfast was lovely, I had a cooled breakfast on my first morning and just cereal on my second as I was climbing helvellyn.
Would I stay here again? 100% yes!! "
