"Great location right on the sea front close to Adventure Island, the Pier and the high street. Check in was swift and the reception was open with helpful staff even at 4.30am when I came back from my night out. Room was clean and comfortable albeit basic with no frills and a small supply of tea & coffee. Bathroom was fine with a good shower. Ironing facilities in the room also and TV. Off site parking was straight over the road but quite expensive at £25 for 10+ hours. View of sea and Pier...

"This was an ‘extra’ overnight stay on our way to a golf tournament at another venue. The receptionist, Charley, was very polite and helpful and apologised for the fact that Hotels.com had not mentioned in my booking that car taking needed to be paid for separately…the only ‘fault’ we could find was that the breakfast only catered for scrambled eggs - no fried or poached options! :-("

"The hotel is run and managed by a superb team who make sure their guests have everything they need. Special mention to the front of house staff and the chef. Both our evening meal and breakfast were excellent."

"With the exception of expensive taxi/Uber to get to/from airport around the corner - the hotel is absolutely perfect. Staff also 10/10 and noise from aircraft taking off is not too bad. "

"Perfect overnight stay before my early flight. I stayed just one night at Holiday Inn Southend before my 6:30 AM flight, and everything was exactly as I hoped. The room was clean, tidy, and very comfortable — even the bathroom and shower were spotless and well-designed. The whole atmosphere was calm and relaxing, which really helped me rest before travel. I’d happily stay here again. Highly recommend for anyone flying early from Southend Airport."

"Have seen this hotel come up a few times and thought i would try it when i was working in the area. Being a golf club it has lots of extras, gym, spa, pool etc. The gym was well equipped with the latest tech, the pool area was lovely with a jacuzzi ,steam and sauna room. Clean changing rooms with ample lockers. The room was spacious with one of the largest beds ive seen, decent amenities, tea,coffee n biscuits. Great bathroom and shower. The restaurant was nice, the food was decent with plenty...
