"Lovely stay, the staff were incredibly helpful and treated us like royalty during our stay. The Riad is beautiful and well located. A bit out of the chaos but accessible by car so no need to worry about dragging your luggage miles through cobblestone."

"Riad Alya was incredible! The room was beautiful, spacious and very Moroccan. I felt like I was in a museum and couldn’t stop staring at the amazing ceiling. Then you walk out in the center and it’s hard to take it all in. Riad Alya is in a great location, easy to find and every attraction is in walking distance. The moment you walk in Ottoman treated me like family and when I left, I felt like family. Ottoman is the best!"

Our rooms had stained glass windows and hand carved furnishings. A Moroccan treasure! The food at breakfast was amazing and the rooftop dining area was the perfect way to watch the sunset over Fez. We highly recommend this hotel!"

"I’ll start with the good. The location is great and the staff with the exception of the general manager is very kind and eager, going out of their way to be helpful! The general manager put us off from the start. He really wanted to control every aspect of our stay in the city and was very critical of us for booking restaurants and tours on our own . In fact, one tour company that we used said they had many problems with our Riad not sending the guests on the tours they had pre- booked with...

"The day before I left, I mentioned to an employee that I needed a taxi for my daughter and me to go to the airport the next day. He informed me that I'm asking too late and that I should have asked 2 days before leaving. An awkward exchange took place in which he tried to teach me that 'it doesn't work that way'.I would accept that at a 1 or 2 star property but not at a 5 star. Simply too many places to stay to accept that type of rude service."
