"Hotel is due a refurb we were told and it certainly needs it. On the outside fantastic looking building. Inside very grand but is unloved and unkept for a long time it seems. Very dirty, surface clean only, piles of dust by bed, windows large cobwebs, wallpaper looks as old as the house. Most staff very good."

"Hotel is in a very good location. An old manor house. The inside of the premises looked like it was refurbished but the outside is in need of TLC & a very good clean. The grounds are lovely. Our bedroom was good apart from tea cups that were not washed. Over all a very nice stay. Good breakfast with plenty of choices. Dinner was good too. Excellent staff with very good customer service.
