"The staff in the restaurant were very unhelpful and a tad miserable. They made no effort. The breakfast food was ok but nothing more. I couldn’t locate gluten free bread options nor could I find a member of staff to help. I had to ask for cutlery when I chose what food I could. The service was unimpressive.
However, I attended a wedding the day before and the food was very good indeed - gf was catered for brilliantly which I why I have given it a 3 star rating."

"My stay was very disappointing. The elevator was completely out of service, forcing me to haul my heavy luggage up to Room 17 on my own. To make matters worse, upon entering the room, the toilet had clearly not been properly cleaned or flushed prior to arrival. Basic standards of hygiene and facility maintenance were missing."

"The description of the Nuffield Health facility as a spa is somewhat misleading - it’s a sports club with a pool used for (noisy) swimming lessons, there is nothing relaxing about it as there are just 3 “beds” to sit on around the pool, and members make an issue of anyone having left a towel on there for just a few minutes (rudely removing it and taking the bed for their own use)."
