"This hotel definitely gets a 5-star for location. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean however it was very small and it was nearly all bed with barely enough room to put any luggage. You only get a sink in your room. Toilets and showes are shared with everyone on our floor. We had 3 people in our group and we were given 3 bath towels, one hand towel and no wash clothes. One of the toilets was out of paper by the early evening and there was no staff to be found then or first thing in...

"I only have one recommendation for the hotel. In the lobby, change the ringtone at reception. It is the default tone that immediately breaks the vacation mentality and brings one back to the normal grind of every day life"

"The property is undergoing expansion and there is construction on site. We got a room in a new wing although reception is in the old wing. The room was very new and great but they were still finishing lobby and staircases. I felt the new rooms removed the Viking feel of the old building but maybe because construction is ongoing. Breakfast wasn’t good at all and tasted very cheap prepackaged cheese and deli meats from supermarket. Staff wasn’t too knowledgeable and didn’t inform of amenities and...

"Hotel was clean, staff was helpful and professional, and you can use laundry services. They also can book you a bus to the airport if you plan ahead. Only issue is that it's a bit of a walk to downtown Rekyavik, so best to have a car. Busses were not always reliable."

"We did not use the spa, we just like the room while booking. We were not disappointed, the room was perfect (felt just like home) and the shower was wonderful (fantastic pressure) plus the bed was very comfortable. My only comment would be that the couch is beyond hard and the hanging lamp is placed in the walkway."
