"We booked a fully paid five-night stay at The Leela Palace, reserving two rooms for our family after a long international journey. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the very first night.
A large wedding event resulted in loud music late into the night. I reported the disturbance at around 9:30 p.m., but no effective action was taken. The music continued until approximately 11:30 p.m., and the inadequate soundproofing made it impossible to rest.

"There is some work going on in the hotel or in an adjoining building, which makes for some loud noises in the mornings in some rooms. We moved rooms once and although the construction noise abated with the move, around 5:00/5:30 there is a large sound akin to a wrecking ball bouncing on concrete! We have gotten used to it by now but you may want to ensure you have a quiet room when you check-in.

"Excellent hotel and beautiful rooms. Make sure you book dinner as the restaurants get very busy. I couldn't get a reservation and ate a small but enjoyable meal in the Library bar. The only slight negative was not being given a sea view room that I requested. Overall though very impressive and the staff are amazing"

"Take a step back in history. The hotel and its ambience makes you feel like a victorian explorer. The team from front of house through to the excellent guys at the 1911 bar were welcoming and efficient. Glad I made the decision to stay here"
