"Super environment, very safe and fantastic food. The beach was unreal."

"I have stayed at the Serena several times over the past 20 years. In fact, of the 80 countries I have visited the Serena in Mombasa is still my favorite place in the world. The staff, including front dest staff (namely, Althuman) and the wait staff are outstanding. Many are long-term staff who have obviously been well-trained in customer service. "The lush greenery around the property is appealing. However, there was confusion over the reservation, which took a while to sort out. Gaining access to the room, we discovered there were no towels. It took us three calls to reception and an hour and a half wait before receiving the towels."

"One of our favorite places that we go to almost every year, we usually bring a group of about 20 to 30 people at a time. The historic and cultural significance of the place and style is tough to beat if you’re looking for an authentic Kenny experience. People are amazing and the staff is so helpful. The food is better than most places in Kenya and the rooms are one of a kind."

"Excellent hotel for an overnight stay near the airport in Nairobi"
