"The title really sums up this hotel. There was nothing either outstandingly good or outstandingly bad about this hotel. Everything was 'OK.' The location is nothing special. The room was completely standard, as was the food. Nothing stood out. I didn't try the pool/gym - I expect they were OK too."

Making our way to our room, number 46, we were disappointed to be greeted with painters and decorators in the unkempt corridors and rooms leading to ours however, we accepted this was part of the hotel upkeep. "Property is in a small town so little bit limited for the restaurants options. Property has nice period features and good size executive rooms. Staff was very nice and breakfast lovely fresh. There is also lovely garden at the back of the property for an evening drink in the warmer weather. "

"We didn’t stay - after a 350 mile drive we arrived to find it very firmly closed. Ironic you send this questionnaire after your reservations person (based, unhelpful,y, in Arizona) spent over an hour and a half on the day getting us alternative accommodation."

"Very nice welcome from the lady in reception (warm cookies a brilliant touch). The hotel is brilliant, the bar, restaurant, rooms and the little fitness centre. Only missing a pool/spa. The only negative element was the parking; £15 for 15 hours, not many spaces and very cramped. Would be better used as a pool and spa and use the car park on the corner ;) Very satisfied with the stay!"
