From the receptionist Coline, to the Director of rooms Assem, housekeeper Kelum and the wait staff in the Shang Palace Christine and every single staff were very polite and friendly! "Fantastic hotel! Great staff, friendly, accommodating and so helpful. Great breakfast and dinner options. Pool area was great, house keepers around the pool are very helpful. Couldn’t fault the hotel. Room was clean and spacious - we asked for extra water, hangers and few other things. Everything we asked for was delivered within 10 minutes or less. Definitely going to stay again on our next trip. Fantastic for families aswell - we had our 14 month old with us"

"This hotel is brilliant as it’s new. Clean and fresh and the rooms are big. Breakfast was not as big as the other hotels but was kept well and clean. Hotel prayer room is excellent and has a fantastic view of the Kaaba. The hotel lobby is slightly confusing as there are two towers and trying to figure out where you are the the outset was irritating especially as you were exhausted by the Umrah. Downfall to this hotel is its quite far. Yes there is a shuttle service but the hotel is far compared to the others. However if you favour cleanliness to anything else I definitely recommend! I also think once the area surrounding and behind is built there will be a lot more options and easier options for food. "
