However, the grounds and overall maintenance do not reflect the level expected from a Relais & Châteaux or Michelin Key property. There were dry leaves and weeds throughout the territory, and several trees appeared infested or dying. "I was very unhappy with this accommodation, which we paid £200 per night. On arrival the hotel staff and checking was very nice, our room was on the fourth floor via the lift and very, very steep stairs to the room. The bathroom was awful totally open to the outside world view with plastic curtain which kept blowing around in the wind, when you were trying to take a shower. "Our stay in the garden villa was really great. It was clean and spacious with a semi outdoor bathroom. The pool area was straight in front of the ocean so you could watch the waves from your sunbed. Surf board hire was cheap with a large range of boards. Drinks were cheap and food yummy."

"Beautiful property on great stretch of Kabalana beach. It was really nice walking along the long stretch of beach and having a dip in the warm and clear water. The king size bedroom was big, clean and very comfortable. The pool area was relaxing with comfortable sun beds with a great view of the beach and also direct access. We enjoyed eating lunch at the pool area with some of the best king prawns we had, deep fried in panko breadcrumbs. Everything we had for lunch and breakfast was good...
