"Awful hotel. Booked a suite and checked out after just 20 minutes. The music from a party was so loud that the bathroom vibrated. No staff available for 45 minutes when trying to complain so ended up just leaving. The rooms are no as shown and there are stains and dust everywhere. This is an embarrassment to the mercure group. Very little to no help from Expedia either."

"Would have given 4/5 stars, as staff were friendly & helpful, food & drink excellent, location fab and room & bed were lovely and clean, BUT: 1. no net curtains (and it was hot so wanted to open window and heavy curtains to let air in overnight and in the morning, but no privacy without net curtains or a blind. "The car GPS wasn't very good but I managed to use the directions on my phone. The rooms are across the road from the actual hotel. The food was really tasty especially the Full English breakfast which was inclusive. The Accessible room was very comfortable& the wet room was great, just what I needed. Definitely recommend this place."

"Good location for Doncaster racecourse/snow dome, free parking which is a bonus. Hotel has a main building with reception and bar/restaurant room for breakfast. Rooms are in the annex. Slightly tired looking but room was clean and serviceable for a 1 night stay and staff were helpful as we had some problems accessing room/paying due to a powercut in the area(which I believe isn't uncommon in that area of Doncaster?). All in all would recommended for a basic 1-2 night stay if you're in the...

"This venue has great potential and the new owner and team obviously have an exciting vision for the future. The hostess was exceptionally friendly and helpful and the breakfast (included) was very tasty. Attention to detail in the room could have been better. Carpet needed hoovering (and replacing) the bed hadn’t been made and although this was remedied, it looked thrown together. The loo seat was a bit ‘mobile’ and there was no hot water in the shower (apparently the boiler had tripped out)....

This includes fees for bottled water, baby cribs, table fans, and even a late checkout of 30 minutes. The staff is minimal and often stretched thin, so expect limited room service. The building is quite old and shows signs of neglect and poor maintenance."
