The staff are great, the location is brilliant, breakfast is excellent, rooms are clean with everything you need beds comfortable, been many tones i would definitely recommend.

The only good thing about this hotel was the area ...very central . Breakfast ok If you book via expedia they take money out of your account before you arrive including other rooms youve booked when it is pay on arrival

Really enjoyed our stay here rooms are nice and spacious and include ironing facillities hair dryer and iron . Location right in town Breakfast was very nice and staff really helpful and pleasant Will definatley be back

Staff were pleasant on arrival , even upgrading my room. Room was spacious , very clean and comfortable. I had a problem with the tv`s but a chat with reception sorted that . Breakfast was ok. Reasonable choice , hot and cold. Room prices often very competitive so will stay again. If you drive , be aware parking can be an issue; and maybe 5/10 minutes walk away.

Location is the main selling point. Although it’s near night life but still hard to beat. Very central. Feels dated though. Had a loose toilet seat in my bathroom and the bath was slightly discoloured? Air con was good. Light connected to the bed was a weird shade. Bed was comfy. Would use again for the convenience.

The room was clean but there was no soap in the bathroom. The hotel itself needs updated. While it's convenient for the train station the noise from a nightclub outside was horrendous.

Awful hotel. Booked a suite and checked out after just 20 minutes. The music from a party was so loud that the bathroom vibrated. No staff available for 45 minutes when trying to complain so ended up just leaving. The rooms are no as shown and there are stains and dust everywhere. This is an embarrassment to the mercure group. Very little to no help from Expedia either.

Pretty grim! Had to ask two people who were sitting on the steps to the hotel taking drugs to move when we left the hotel at 4pm and when we returned at midnight the centre of Doncaster’s drug scene seemed to be outside the hotel. Double bed tiny and up against wall so had to climb over each other to get out. Air con didn’t work. Very noisy location and room very basic

Perfect location for the centre & at a reasonable rate However a lot of rooms did not have air conditioning Downstairs mens toilets were not clean & the check had not been done for some days by the sign on back of door. They also appeared gently understaffed

Booked 3 rooms at the Mercure Danum Doncaster Centre hotel and it was a mistake. The hotel was a shambles unfortunately. In our room the toilet still had poo stains and the shower gel bottle was broken - couldn't dispense the liquid inside. Our guest's room was unclean and there was someone chain smoking next door - the corridor reeked of cigarette smoke. He found blood stains on his curtains as well. The general state of the hotel is poor. This would be ok if it was mentioned/remarked upon on Expedia before we booked, but the photos available and the reality do not match at all. We were shocked to find this out upon arrival. The reception staff were actually quite helpful and that was the only positive moment of this experience.

Just got back today sun 12th after spending 2 nights in this hotel day 1 room 307 no aircon room like a sauna got a move to 308 room a lot better thank you. Day 2 went out leaving room as we found it when we got back about 9pm room key didn't work went to reception got card sorted got back to room to find lights on wardrobe open and drawers open, someones has had a good rummage about the room nothing taken but not the point you dont expect it reported immediately to reception who said they would look at cctv im awaiting results.

Central location, but outdated, dirty, and very disappointing stay ​While the location was central, the room/bed were large, the bathroom was modern, and the Wi-Fi was strong, the negatives completely ruined our stay. ​The hotel smelled stale upon arrival. Staff were unwelcoming and gave no info on Wi-Fi or dining. We booked a double but got a twin. The room had ancient furniture, a TV angled at the floor, a dirty mini-fridge, a limescale-filled kettle, filthy windows with cobwebs/feathers, and only 1 coffee pod for 2 adults. The AC filter was caked in dust and wouldn't cool below 19°C. Opening windows let in unbearable noise from local pubs, clubs, and traffic, forcing me to take a cold shower at 3 AM to cool down. ​The paid breakfast was poor: scorching bain-marie lids, tiny cups, off-tasting milk, powdered eggs, undercooked hash browns, no mushrooms/black pudding, and no unsmoked bacon. Outside, shouting crowds added to a awful atmosphere. Very disappointed.
