"All I can say is that the room was too nasty for me to stay at this hotel. I had the manager come look at the condition of the room. He didn’t have much to say, but he did not give me a problem when I asked to cancel the reservation completely and not be charged at all."

"The 2nd elevator has been broken for MONTHS plus some more MONTHS Front desk staff super nice Hallway smells damp and moldy Room meh… Staff a male staff (white young mid weight) was waiting for the 1 elevator he had broom dustpan and his phone he was watching something on his phone elevator finally came to take us up he almost ran over gentleman getting off elevator and didn’t hold the door for myself or other guest, he didn’t ask what floor I was going to I had to tell him which floor to press...

"The hotel is beautiful. The lobby is extra special and gorgeous. Columns and chandeliers and woodwork and ceilings were just awesome. They have kept the history and glamour. Rooms could use a little maintenance but nothing major. The bar was eclectic and romantic. Food in the restaurant was very yummy and staff is great. Enjoyed our one nite stay- we felt like royalty."

"Expedia shouldn’t recommend this hotel,in fact they should unlisted this hotel from their website. This hotel was so bad we checked it and checked right out once we seen the unkempt grounds and the room and the other guests staying there,heck they one guest working on his car with car engine parts scattered around the vehicle while playing very loud music. So I told my wife nope,hell no we’re out of here,didn’t even care about the money I lost."

"Family move to another room. Toilet in 404 constantly running. However room 306 was perfect. I went to move my stuff from 404 and fix the toilet flapper so ur water bill wouldn’t be high because no maintenance personnel was available to stop water from running all night"

"Check-in was easy, the caretaker was right there to hand over the key, and gave us a brief history of the plantation, which has been around since the 1820s! The air conditioning worked very well and that's a blessing since we visited in August. Husband and I explored and walked the property more than once, trying to imagine it in its different eras. My only issue was the breakfast sandwich in the freezer, which was a solid block of ice. Maybe, put the sandwiches in the freezer the day before...
