"Very clean and very well-maintained property"

"We had a great stay at Pestana. I must admit, it did not stat well. We stayed on south of Sao Tome and a day before our booking, I called the hotel to ask if they have a free boat transfer for guests. The very unfriendly person on the phone told us to be at the dock at 10am. We came to the dock, boarded the boat and after arrival they wanted us to pay 42 EUR for it. "BomBom is simply magical. The natural beauty is unrivaled only by the friendliness and kindness of the staff. Coming from the US without any Portuguese speaking skills was scary but the people here made it comfortable immediately. Would give BomBom 100 out of 100 stars!"

"It’s nice hotel near ocean and center of the capital. If you want more comfort it would be better to book executive room as single room is too small. The service is a bit slow but overall it’s great place"

"Pros: Room is very spacious and clean. Common areas also nice and generally I enjoyed a quiet atmosphere. Staff is nice, food is good. Cons: They did not honor the complementary airport transfer that is announced on line, they arranged a private taxi that charged me 20 US Dollars (for a 4 minute ride). The quality of bed linens and towels is not great, they should improve them. The one day I used the pool, which is big and pretty, the water was not clean. "

Food is subpar and uninteresting, activities are difficult to organize, and staff - despite being largely well-intentioned - is useless. Separately, I had a horrible time checking out. "This hotel has seen its day; for a few dollars more per night you will get much better service and quality at the sister hotel just along the road 5 minutes walk and right on the beach. I was glad to see the back of it, after leaving I realized that they still charged me for the airport collection where I was waiting for nearly 1 hour.
