A family business run by Himmel. The property sits right next to Bentota Lagoon. There is a daily shuttle to and from the beach. The accommodation is in a block of two floors. Great little guest house right in the beach. The owners really did their best to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Close to Galle (20 rupee on the bus) but not amongst the tourist throng.

We loved the grounds of talalla retreat - absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The breakfast was fantastic and the spa facilities good, although a little on the pricey side. I was initially a little disappointed with the room itself as it was a little basic, but actually grew to like its simplistic style and open-air bathroom

It was there for two days. Perfect location for my visit. Pleasant staff and friendly people. They got access to the shallow beach area that you can walk towards the sea. Nice pool area. Green environment. Indeed feel like close to nature. Some cons: my room ac is too noisy. I was distracting. No internet. Cable tv connection also not stable. Overall good experience.
