"It is definitely not a hotel facility. Toilet was broken(someone already used the toilet but it was broken so you guess what happened), shower was completely broken, no mosquito net, and no toiletries. No internet, didn't get breakfast. They charged $20USD for oneway pick up service which is more than their room charge. And when i complained to manager he was yelling at me for me to complaining so much. I can't believe you guys booked me this hotel. It was most horrible nightmare hotel ever...

"The hotel is clean and a few steps away from a mall with good supermarket. Taxi stands and main road are just there downstairs. Staff are very friendly and way better than any hotel I stayed at recently they are extremely respectful and caring. Great value for money."

"I was just coming off a tour and had an extra night to spend in Arusha. Rather than spend the night in the tour hotel I decided to try Mc-Elly's for about 4x LESS the price. The area in the daytime is a bit chaotic (industrial area) but it's the real Africa not what I saw in the tour hotel. As soon as the sun goes down it was very quiet. Loved sitting out on my balcony. Breakfast was great, lots of variety and the manager of the hotel even greeted me asking me how I found everything. Nice...

"This is a beautiful property and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. But I almost reduced the number of stars in my review from 5 to 4 for one thing. The breakfast each day is held on a covered patio outdoors. It could use a better variety of food, but the real issue was this: Flies. The food, except for the bread, is entirely uncovered and there were flies crawling all over it. One employee was half-heartedly trying occasionally to shoo them away, to no avail.
