"Good (cheap) location. Comfortable bed. Flooring in room had cracked making it look a bit shabby. Book breakfast online but pointless doing so, as still had to pay, went to breakfast and got locked out of our room after. Bit of bacon on the floor which just stayed there. Buffet a bit untidy, cereal everywhere. Appreciate it’s a busy day but no real excuse. Have stayed before a few times now. Normally good/ v good, today just okay"

"A surprisingly nice location looking over Seaburn beach with an array of nearby eateries and bars. A few issues that were disappointing were that firstly the leisure facilities were all closed for renovations during our stay. This wasn’t notified on the booking site. It was part of our reason for booking so disappointed to be told only on arrival. "The staff were super helpful- above and beyond. They even remembered why we were in town the next day. They work hard! The same ladies who handle the front desk handled breakfast. The ocean view was great. We arrived at low tide and were so surprised to wake up after a nap and find how much higher the water was. We're planning return trips. Thanks for making our one night in Whitley Bay a great night!"

"Front of house staff (Receptionist) was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy. I believe that some of the rooms have been updated, which will be likely to happen with the room I had, which needs attention in the bathroom area, but overall very good. Pleased that the WiFi is included in the room rate, unlike the bargain chains. All the staff I encountered were very friendly. Even had a nice chat with the Handyman."

"Good room with air conditioning, nice breakfast The charge for parking was an extra charge which was not applicable on several previous visits which will now be a factor when we visit Sunderland. We have never had a charge for parking anywhere in Sunderland that we have stayed in the past."
