"We had a nice spacious room, if on the top floor of the nearby Ty Dre Town House. It was very quiet and we slept well in the very big and comfortable bed. The reception staff were very polite and helpful.
We only stopped two nights but ate, both nights, in the Black Boy. It had a good range of meals of locally sourced ingredients. Between us, we tried four, all delicious, possibly more generous helpings than we needed!
I also found a very nice local real ale pint ~ so good, I managed 3 each...

"The room needed improvement : Badly cracked sink , the shower screen did not fit properly, resulting in large puddles of water on the floor after use . A kettle, tea and coffee were provided but no milk or creamer. Some reception staff were very helpful, others frankly did not seem to have a clue. In particular, the parking payment system was not explained to me on arrival. I was standing at the machine in the carpark, but it did not say anywhere that if resident you paid at reception. "The hotel is nice. The hotel pub is the same. And the staff is polite. The coffee machine DID NOT WORK in the room. You couldn’t even put the mug (from the hotel room not my personal one) to pour coffee in it because it is too big. In the room there are no sockets. I wanted to charge my laptop and other devices, I didn’t have where. There are two “sockets” on one side and the other of the bed STRICTLY for phone cables. Meaning you insert the cable directly.
