"Staff really welcoming and pleasant. Rooms were perfect and clean. Plenty of extra air conditioning around the hotel due to extreme high temperatures. Quick check in and check out. Offered a glass of bubbly on arrival. Despite busy hotel and World Cup Football there was no noise so slept really well. Breakfast was lovely, great selection of food and juices. Perfect location and will definitely stay again."

Rooms only have a type of climate control that does not help with extremes of weathers. They did signpost on arrival that all cooling systems were down which was unfortunate due to the heatwave present."

"The grounds and the old manor hall are beautiful lots of wildlife and birds. The spa / leisure centre is also very good but is ran by a seperate company to the main hotel which why it might explain it is better ran than the main hotel. We enjoyed our stay and the room (double suite in main hall building ) was good and spacious including a/c. "The Belfry trades heavily on its famous name, but the experience doesn’t justify the premium price. My room was clean but very dated, with no air conditioning and only a noisy fan that made sleeping difficult even before the real issue started. The biggest disappointment was the late-night noise. Guests drinking on the terraces created a constant level of shouting and disturbance that was completely at odds with what you’d expect from a luxury golf resort. "The inside of the room was lovely with new technology for door entry, lighting etc. and we loved the wildlife and farm animals. however the outside of the property was a total mess. It looked like lots of the buildings were falling to bits and the grounds were overgrown and not well kept the restaurant was permanently closed and the shared microwave in the corridor worked but there was no cutlery"
