"Great property in Waterbury. Very close to the Ben and Jerry's factory. The hotel is old but clean. They accept pets but very much seem like they don't want to. On making the reservation I was sent very blunt emails about pets and then on check in kind of the same attitude but overall it was fine. This year there were two improvements: 1) the check-in was all electronic with text and email, 2) there was no longer a physical key, door had a number pad. "We happened to be there during the week between weddings so had the place mostly to ourselves. Lovely farm setting with vegetable gardens and chickens and pigs to wander among. There was a lovely watercolor painting exhibit in barn. Extensive trail system right behind the fields. Manager Stacy was very gracious and helpful. Breakfast cooked to order, delicious.
