"Great hotel to stay at! We had an event at the DAC which was walking distance. All the staff at the hotel were wonderful! A cool, art deco vibe in the place. Rooms are tight. Hallways are dark. Both are part of the boutique vibe. The café in the lobby is great choice to pick up a coffee and light breakfast. We took our coffee outside to the relaxing garden with rod iron tables and chairs and enjoy the city in the morning. The Candy Bar is small, but very cool place to go for a drink!"

"I was attending the NCECA ceramics conference at the convention center. Trumbull and Porter was reasonably convenient to the meeting by rideshare or by car. My room was quiet, comfortable and clean. I saw a number of other conference participants there, perhaps because it was cheaper than the official hotels. I thought there was a restaurant in the hotel but that information was out of date. There was a coffee stand that made good coffee and had breakfast pastries in the morning. Other than...

"The front desk staff went far above and beyond to accommodate my husband and I when we were late and desperately trying to get to a nearby event. They were FIRST RATE. We really appreciated their kindness. Our room had a lovely river view, the bed was comfy, and everything was immaculate. The selection of snacks and sandwiches in the well appointed lobby was excellent. Highly recommended."

"The room was clean. Parking was easy and plentiful. I left at 5:00am in the morning so I didn't experience the breakfast, looked like it was going to be great. All the staff except for the overnight person was very helpful and kind. At 5 in the morning and have 4 guest leaving and 2 new group guest coming in seemed overwhelming for a solo staff person at the front desk"

"The staff were friendly, but the property is very old and has a musty smell and it is very loud at night. You can hear cars going back-and-forth. It is on a busy road. Also, there are big spotlights pointing right at the property so there’s a lot of light coming through the windows even with the curtains"

"Beautiful property but there wasn’t extra toilet paper and Kleenex in the room and the bathroom shelf wasn’t secure. It was also pretty warm and we didn’t have individual control of our room temp. A mini fridge would have gone a long way. There was also no tea in the lobby. I would stay there again in the spring or fall. "
