"I didn't personally stay at this hotel but I got feedback from my son and his father. They said the property, building itself was clean but not in a very nice clean area. Abandoned buildings and burnt down hotel nest to it. The hotel smelled fine but the room didn't smell the greatest. Old carpet flooring everywhere and in the rooms the carpets were dingy and stinky. Beds not the most comfortable. The staff were very kind and helpful very friendly their whole stay. Breakfast was 7/10 normal...

"Older hotel but clean. Staff was friendly. They had a large fire earlier and I’m sure it hurts the attraction when driving by. It did not affect my stay at all."

"The property was updated and clean. The rooms were a good size and updated. The breakfast was decent. Parking was readily available. It was a short distance from the airport and about a 30 minute drive into downtown Detroit."

"I became I'll while at the property from medication I was taking. I was with my daughter who was interviewing for a job in town. I called down to the desk and asked for late checkout. They could not have been nicer! They asked if they could do anything to help including sending some herbal tea. Anything at all. I appreciate the concern and care when of late, that is not always the norm. St John's Resort is truly beautiful as well. The grounds and facilities are gorgeous. I'll be back when I'm...

"It was an overall good room for the price! We only had one trash can which was weird, and it was a recycling can with no bag.. The wifi was also super bad. I ended up using my data the entire time. But for the price, I was satisfied. It’s a good location."

"I know someone new bought the Inn on Ferry St, but that doesn't excuse the extremely dusty condition of my room, or the lack of any type of window shade to block the sun out. I've stayed at the Inn several times before COVID, and this new owner may want to restore some of the amenities that made staying at the Inn feel more home-like with breakfast for example. I checked in when it was raining and the clerk didn't offer any assistance on getting to my room that was outside and two buildings...

"Overall the hotel needs a good cleaning. Our room was acceptable, but the halls and elevators were dirty. The heater/cooler in our room was working, but the buttons were all crunched, there was no way to tell if the buttons I pushed were working. We fiddled with it in our room for 2 hours freezing. The front desk offered us a new room, but just then our friend came in and figured it out. The breakfast was average."
