"The cabin was an excellent calming retreat listening to only the sounds of the birds and nature. The steps up to the cabins can be a bit steep (up to 30cm/ 12 inches) but assuming you are there to hike Park Tayrona it's a good warm up for the trails in the park. Breakfast and dinners were excellent and Kevin our front desk person, arranged an early breakfast so we could get to the hikes at break of dawn. "This property was such a pleasant surprise. It ended up being my favorite stay of my whole trip. The staff is so attentive and you can't beat starting the day already inside the park. I transferred to Senda Watapuy because I thought it would be better with the pool but it was actually kind of a step down from Zirwa. Definitely would come back here! The only negative thing was the hot water went out. The staff immediately called someone to fix it (replace the gas) then it worked for 2 seconds and stopped again. It's not really a big deal though as hot showers are definitely more of a luxury here in Colombia."

"The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and the food and service were excellent! We booked two different rooms—both were beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable. The pool and common areas could use some improvement, especially adding more lounge chairs, a better bar setup, and some shade by the pool. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!"

"Barlovento is a gem near Tayrona. One almost doesn’t need to leave the property to get the real jungle beach experience. However, it is a perfect home base for your adventure. The accommodations are very comfortable and quiet. Just watch out for the “no see ums” insects that get through the mosquito nets in the cabana, but this is true everywhere. Also the ocean is very loud at the cabana but earplugs make it more of a soothing background noise. Overall one of my favorite places to visit and relax."

"The location was perfect, the food was great, the were free activities every day. The staff was amazing, specially people at the front desk, Joana, Antonia and Kelly. A special thank you to Joana who recommended us a bunch of places nearby and to our next location! She was lovely and it was always there to help. The only downside was that we can hear the music from the streets until late at night but good earplugs do the trick. We would definitely book this place again."
