Top Douro Valley Hotel Reviews

Hotel Mira Corgo
10/10 Excellent
"Fantastic stay with an incredible breakfast! We had a wonderful time at Mira Corgo Hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was incredibly welcoming, and the highlight of our stay was definitely the breakfast. There was an amazing selection, everything tasted fresh, and it was the perfect way to start our day. Highly recommend!"

Quinta de la Rosa
10/10 Excellent
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Quinta de la Rosa. The views over the Douro Valley are absolutely beautiful and made for a very relaxing experience. We loved the onsite restaurant and spending time at Tim’s Terrace, both of which made the most of the stunning surroundings. The wine tour and tasting were a highlight, with knowledgeable staff and excellent wines. The property was clean, quiet, and peaceful throughout our stay. A wonderful place to unwind and experience the beauty of the Douro Valley."

Vila Gale Douro Vineyards Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The site is amazing, with the hotel's buildings scattered artfully across a number of terraces that traverse the steep hillside. Our room was spacious and comfortable and even had a lovely balcony facing the Douro. The big pool was gorgeous and a delight to swim in. Our only meals on site (two breakfasts and one dinner) were buffet-style--perfectly acceptable but nothing special."

Six Senses Douro Valley
10/10 Excellent
"This was a bucketlist hotel that checked every box. The room was beautiful, staff was beyond compare. I had one of the best massages I’ve ever had at their incredible spa. There is not enough space to describe how amazing the food was. It was the best breakfast of our whole vacation, possibly of the last decade!"

The Manor House Celeirós
8/10 Good
"Great place and great staff. No window in room, except for skylight"

Casa de São Domingos
10/10 Excellent
"This place is stunning, simply put. They thought of everything - none of the details were missed. Hairdryer in room, spacious bathrooms and spotless rooms, lovely breakfast included. The views, flowers, sounds of birds and refreshing pool are what makes this a special place. Very close to train station in Regua, with lots of restaurants close by."

Octant Douro
10/10 Excellent
"Second time staying at the Octant Douro, this time bringing my daughter. Experience didn’t disappoint. Everything was great!"

Ventozelo Hotel & Quinta
10/10 Excellent
"Absolutely superb and relaxing!! Our stay at Ventozelo exceeded our expectations! The scenery, the staff, the service, the food, our room made for an ideal atmosphere for us to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We didn’t want to leave! The staff are so kind and warm and took very good care of us. The cantina was one of our favorite spots for dinner and just watching the sun set while drinking wine and listening to their music. We didn’t try the pool but it looked beautiful. We stayed in one of the bubble houses with a patio and our own living room. Beautiful accommodations. It was very easy to stay here and enjoy the wine tour and walk around the property. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again if we come back."

Douro Royal Valley Hotel & SPA
8/10 Good
"This is by no measure a 5-star property, but a well used 4-star facility. The upkeep is not really up to par, with mold in the bathroom, bathroom doors peeling severly due to water damage, stained towels etc. The breakfast is fine, but, again, not up to 4-star standards (including 5-star hotels in Portugal). The common spaces like the dining room show extensive damage due to use (and lack of maintenance?) and there's peeling paint in the hallways. However, the staff were exceedingly friendly and the price we paid in mid-May (around 150 € per night) was right for a 4-star place."
