"Highly recommend putting a full length mirror behind the entry door to the bath/sink room. No close mirrors to put on makeup for see full body.
The air conditioner was loud kicking on and off. Would have been nice to have a “fan on” option for sleeping that kept the fan running on the AC unit."
"I really enjoyed staying at Columbine Inn. The property is older but has been remodeled completely. Everything was very clean, the continental breakfast was good, and the owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. The hot tub is a nice amenity. The hotel is near the rodeo grounds and several restaurants which was helpful. But it is not located on the Estes "strip" which made for peace and quiet. I loved staying here. Thank you!"
"This place was fantastic for our needs, just two adults who spent most of the time hiking in the park and didn't need many of the amenities.
The pool is closed, the floors warped with vinyl laid overtop, but the water pressure is great and the temperature hot.
The "balcony" is a walkway for other rooms and prevented us from leaving a window open or the curtains as anyone walking by could see straight into our room and us. That's my only real disappointment.
With a second bedside table it would have gotten another star from my wife (where does the other person place their things?! The floor?!!!)
The staff was beyond quick to solve our problem (I left a jug of water on the bed and it leaked 3 liters before we returned. They showed up within 4 minutes with an entire dry set of bedding... Might have saved my marriage, total doofus move.)
We didn't eat at the restaurant, but had drinks over the water one night. Service was fantastic, pricing is what we expected so close to the park, and it's hard to beat a late night cocktail over moving water after 12 miles in elevation.
This was a great place, we were very happy and it served our needs extremely well.
It wasn't luxurious, but it was perfect for two hikers that wanted a hot shower every night and a comfy place to crash before tomorrow's adventure."
"Great location and affordable stay! The only odd thing is that they provide a phone number for texting if you need anything but no one responds to texts."
"The property is currently under construction. No working elevators. A little underwhelming for the price is the stay. However, the tours are worth checking out even if you don't stay there!"
