Helen Holidays

Helen's riverside venue hosts America's longest-running Oktoberfest celebration. Join the revelry with German bands, traditional dances, and Alpine cuisine from September through October.

This vibrant cultural hub showcases local art exhibits and Helen's Alpine village history. Participate in a hands-on pottery workshop or browse unique handcrafted pieces in the gift shop.

Dodd Creek plunges dramatically through a split in a 40-foot granite cliff, creating the stunning Raven Cliff Falls. The rewarding 4.9-mile return hike winds through lush forest with smaller cascades along the way.

A peaceful retreat from Helen's city centre bustle, Unicoi Hill Park features the charming Alana Falls and a dinosaur playground. Enjoy a picnic beneath the gazebo while listening to the gentle sounds of cascading water.

Experience Georgia's gold rush heritage at Dukes Creek Mines where you can pan for gold, rubies, and gemstones. Staff guide your treasure hunt at shaded tables while sharing fascinating geological history.

Float down the Chattahoochee River on a relaxing two-hour tubing journey through scenic Helen. Afterwards, enjoy thrilling water slides and a 1,000-foot lazy river at the adjoining waterpark.

This 1876 gristmill on the Chattahoochee River produces stone-ground grits and cornmeal using 1,500-pound French Burr millstones. Watch the milling process, then browse fresh-milled products in the country store.
