"The Beach Hotel is a social enterprise run by the YMCA as an apprenticeship scheme. In light of this we had quite modest expectations for our stay. But these were misplaced - the hotel is spotlessly clean, and run by professional, welcoming staff. "Lovely hotel in a small prretty village. Good food in rhe pub, very dog friendly and very relaxed friendly staff. On arrival our allotted room only had a shower. I was really hoping for a bath, so the owner very kindly upgraded us to a room with a bath. Would definitely stay again. Plenty of walks from the door. "

"The main thing to be said about our stay at the poltimore is that the staff really couldnt do enough for you. So attentive and lovely. The room was clean, spacious and had a stunning view of the countryside. The water sometimes ran brown, but this is probably the only negative comment to be said. Food has always been very nice here. "An overnight stay for my wife and self, a proper pub in a village with decent food and warm exceptionally clean accommodation. Beer was good and locals were friendly, as were the staff, parking in the village square 50 yards from the premises. What's not to like . "

I stayed here for business so I needed to do more work in my room, the staff were happy for me to take my dinner up into my room and the rump steak that I had was incredibly good. I was also up and out in the morning too early for breakfast so the staff made me a packed lunch which was really nice of them. "
