"Had a nice 1 night stay in the Brander Lodge Hotel whilst enjoying the local area. Parts of the hotel could do with some tlc, but the breakfast room, dining room and bar area were lovely and the food was great. We liked the gardens with the river at the bottom. Bedroom clean and comfy. Great hotel for the price. We will go back."

"If you’re just looking for beds and a shower, it’s fine. We stayed in a family room that slept six. The beds were comfortable enough. However, the room was stuffy and there is no air conditioning. We tried to open the single window and discovered a lot of knats. So we smashed them and decided not to open the window since there are no screens. They did provide two fans in the room, so we made do with that for the one night we stayed. In the morning we went out to put our bags in the car...

"Great B&B . Everything we needed for an overnight stay in Oban before heading to the ferry to Mull .Very convenient and good fitness waking up the hill to the property . Taxi if not inclined to walk up hills . Really nice touch to have the breakfast cereals , juice and yogurt . Thank you ."

"Invercreran Lodge was a perfect overnight experience in the countryside of the highlands! Rural setting away from the crowds and busy roads. Easy drive to Glencoe or Oban. Staff is amazing and facilities are top rate. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, five star getaway with stunning views and superb hosts! "

"first of all there is no elevator which seems strange, as you have to carry your bags . secondly there was no air conditioning. the room was really hot and humid. a small fan was provided which was not helpful"

"This was a beautiful surprise. We needed a one night stay in the area and I booked this place. I wished we stayed longer. The location is excellent. The property surrounding is well maintained and beautiful. The hotel, restaurant, and room are cozy and welcoming. I even joked that if I ever decide to get married, I want it to be here."

"Very nice location, on the water near The Corran ferry which you can access to go to restaurants across the loch. Large parking lot, very comfortable common areas to include a large living room/lounge area, kitchen and outdoor space. The rooms are quite small but sufficient if only staying 1-2 nights. The shower was very small so if you are tall or large, you may have an issue. We enjoyed our stay here."

"I don't understand how a hotel with such an incredible location and view could be so run down. The place is dirty and poorly kept. The painting and general maintenance is either non-existent or done by people with zero skills and budget. Many of the lights in the room didn't work. The wifi is utterly useless. The food was actually pretty decent, though, so they get one positive point here."

"Pods were great and practical if tiny. The biggest challenge was the complete lack of storage space in the pod. Other pods we stayed at kept the space under the beds open for easy storage. These were completely closed, so the only space was the 1-2 feet between the beds. We had to climb over our backpacks to get to the door to go in or out."

"Good sized car park for amount of rooms. Arrived to allsorts of treats in the fridge which were topped up each day which was a nice bonus. When I contacted owner becuase the cleaner had forgotten to put bin liner in the bin after cleaning he was very quick to respond and had came to sort it as soon as he could. Loved the size of the rooms and was very clean. You do have to drive out to get to anything though as there isn't anywhere to eat/shop nearby."

"The view out the front window of the hotel is beautiful. The food was ok.. not amazing. I ordered the risotto and it was terrible. We ended up walking to a nearby restaurant for drinks and their restaurant was booked and had more options. Jay the manager was super friendly and the room was comfortable and the bathrooms newly renovated and clean."

"I very much appreciated the personal welcome, not just receiving access codes via a text. Janet, the manager, was very welcoming and exceptionally friendly. The room and the house were clean and had a warm flowery scent. I was lucky to have been given a room with a direct view to the sea. This made it even more pleasurable to sit in the armchair and drink my morning coffee and night drink. Should I visit Oban again, I would definitely try to get a room at the Hamilton Guesthouse again. Thank...

"An absolute gem of a property - from rooms, bar, dining room and staff. Wonderful breakfasts prepared each morning. Do yourself a favour and book yourself a dinner there as well. Chef is very talented! The views of boats in the bay and the shoreline of Oban are spectacular from this property. Highly recommend."
