"We stayed 4 nights in "the annex" of The Nags Head while attending the Goodwood Revival in Sept. Although the price was crazy expensive at £450 per night for a basic hotel room and breakfast, at the time we booked we couldn't find anything cheaper that was as close to the train and bus station. (It's an easy walk through the historic center, past inviting shops and restaurants.) The "annex" rooms are around the corner from the main in and pub, and the separation was no problem. The area felt...

"Beautiful rooms, I've never seen so many light switches and sockets to plug into ! let down by poor maintenance on the bathroom doors, which didn't close due to not fitting in the frame by a few cm! Maybe they were just being installed, but not great when you can't close the door. We had a very fancy fan, but would be cautious booking without air-con in the hotter times. Breakfast was good ! proper bread, and a chef who can cook eggs without them being snotty or hard boiled ! Room had...

"The room was way fun. They also had cookies and milk in the room to welcome us. They also provided breakfast at the restaurant. Food was slow but was way good."

"Wykeham Arms is a period institution! Accomodation is a plus, and great food... Location, location, location helps!"

"Stayed in their twin room, which was very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom had a full bath and shower space. The person who checked us in was very nice and helpful. We also ate at the pub restaurant and very much enjoyed the food. Big portions! It has convenient parking around the back of the pub which was a bonus. The only thing to be aware of when booking is due to the age of the building, some of the corridors and stairways are a little narrow, so just be aware of that for very...

"I have stayed a few times over the years and i think its a great value pub with rooms i stayed 3 nights and my room was good as always, the team were all good and i would recommend to friends and family without hesitation."

"Lovely hotel, very friendly staff, good food, beautiful location."

"The room was clean and nicely decorated. The sofa bed needs a new mattress as you can feel the springs digging in when you lay on the bed. Staff were friendly and helpful although there was a mix up over the cost of breakfast for children as we were told, ahead of our stay, that under 12’s were half price but aren’t. The bathroom could be revamped to give more space whilst standing in the bath showering - it’s far too small plus having a broken shower bracket resulted in water spraying...

"Beautiful country pub type hotel. Quaintand very tastefully presented. Lovely room, comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. If i have any negative it is minor. The windows were not double glazed and neded a bit of paint. Otherwise excellent"

"Booked a 3 night stay here.Great location, right opposite Osbourne House. Nice period property and room was spacious but tired in areas (shower had pieces of sealant hanging off and mould on the shower door). It would benefit from a good clean (eg dirty skirting boards, cobwebs, carpet stained). Hotel is situated on a main road so noisy even late at night with the windows open, although that didn't bother us. Had one evening meal here and one breakfast. Food was lovely although breakfast slow....

"Super clean and cosy room. It was ready upon arrival and staff was very helpful in explaining the property and pub / restaurant area. Room does not have AC but had a fan and brought another upon request, as well as blackout curtains. (For those traveling from US, not many pubs and older dwellings have AC like we do in the states). We arrived when it was above 30c) We had great food during our stay and were able to enjoy long hikes in the park and super convenient spot to our friends I the area."

"Food, staff and vibe was amazing however i was not paticularly impressed with the accommodation. A bit tired and stuffy"
