"Thank you very much for a wonderful stay at this idyllic Ryokan in the heart of Nara forest! The service was sublime. The two hostesses who welcomed me and served my exquisite Japanese meals were wonderful. "A little difficult to find if you are walking, but the owner was lovely, and went out of his way to help me and my friend. The hotel itself was very comfortable, good wifi and a comfortable shared space."

"I thought the gorilla theme was really cute and liked the shared space dorm feeling. Some guests were cheerful and not especially quiet but once it got late it was quiet and we slept well. It actually felt festive and pleasant. The bath facilities were clean. There could have been more garbage bins as they got full quickly and it became difficult to separate. The space had a good feeling and it was comfortable to sleep on futons even as a family. There's not much privacy so it might not be great...

"Not only was the property clean, easy to locate, walkable and quiet but the lady who runs the hotel is an absolute sweetheart. The breakfast she made us was better than a lot of the food I was eating at restaurants. I would recommend this stay to anyone. "
