"We came as a large crowd and spent a lot of time in the lobby at the tables. The front desk person took photos for us and it was so nice of her. The room was good, the closet doors were broke of the track and the smoke detector was hanging on the wall. It would be nice to have some better lighting in the room. We really enjoyed our stay! It is however very hot in August."

"I would absolutely recommend this hotel especially for a family with little kids! The room was so spacious you could set up a playpen and still have room it also had a small table with 2 chairs. The room smelled clean! Not that musty smell you get from other hotels. It's at the entrance to Carlsbad National Park and down the road is a town with all kinds of stores and restaurants. "The exterior is just a little dated. But the room appeared to have been renovated and was very nice. Room is much larger than necessary too. The included breakfast was excellent. I would stay there again. Easy 5 minute drive into main part of town for some interesting restaurants."
