We really enjoyed Cruachan Guest House. The bedroom with ensuite was well appointed. The breakfast each morning was really well done. Mobeen and staff were fantastic. The location was really good as well. There were a couple of buses that you could ride to the castle area or you could take 25 minutes to walk. We felt the Cruachan Guest House was pretty good value for money.

Muito conveniente!

Boa localização, permitindo a visita aos principais pontos, a pé. Cafe da manhã adequado que sustenta a manhã toda. Quarto limpo com arrumação diária. Único reparo é se a hospedagem for no último andar. Não tem elevador e a escada é perigosa.

I will attempt to give a very honest review of The Cruachan: If you are exploring hotel options for Edinburgh, on a budget, you’ve probably noticed anything inner city is quite expensive and the more affordable options are farther out. The Cruachan Guest house gives you an affordable stay with an inner city location, removing costly taxis and/or parking fees. However, you may have to make some sacrifices based on your standards. The Cruachan is an older building. 180 years according to the owner. It has not been updated for quite some time which gives it a bit of a worn look. Cracked paint, squeaky floors, dirt embedded nooks and crannies and old smells are quite apparent. If your standards are newer with modern conveniences then this will not be for you. However, my wife, daughter and I loved it here. The beds were very comfortable, the free breakfast each morning was a nice start to each day and a bus ride to the Old Town took only minutes. Walking could also be an option, but would be about 20 mins minimum. Regardless, it was very convenient to get around. The older qualities of the house added to the experience and did not bother us at all. My wife usually has quite high standards and did seem to be bothered by aged building. I would definitely stay here again.

La valutazione complessiva di 4 su 5 è una media che deriva da un 3 alle condizioni della struttura, che ho dovuto dare, a malincuore, per correttezza con chi leggerà la recensione. Servirebbe infatti un ammodernamento generale, però ci tengo a sottolineare che funzionava tutto e non abbiamo avuto nessun inconveniente. Ed un 5 al gestore che è stato gentilissimo ed attentissimo alle nostre esigenze, e si è rivelato anche un ottimo cuoco dato che le parti cucinate della colazione vengono preparate al momento con ottimi risultati. Posizione buona servita dai mezzi, ma in 15÷20 minuti di camminata tranquilla si arriva in royal mile.

Guest house ligt op 15/20 min lopen van centrum/transport.Kamer is klein maar schoon,badkamer klein maar voldoende.Ontbijt was prima,wel voor 9.30! Prijs/kwaliteit was prima voor mij.

Es un lugar muy agradable! Alicia nos atendió como en casa! Desayuno rico!! La habitación super calida y agradable, fue mi cumpleaños y tuvo el maravilloso detalle de dejarme un presente en la habitación! Realmente nos hicieron sentir como en casa pero en Escocia! Gracias Alicia por todo! Great Place ! Puedes llegar al centro de Edimburgo caminando o en trasporte. Todo excelente!

The tv was unstable, the bed was saggy and the table lamp didn’t work otherwise I was warm and comfortable. I would stay here again.

Wir waren insgesamt 2 Nächte im Cruachan Guest House untergebracht. Die Unterkunft ist ruhig gelegen und von der Lage top, sodass man in ca. 15-20min zu Fuß in der Innenstadt bzw. am Castle. Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet und von der Größe ausreichend. Die Betten waren angenehm und die Zimmer grundsätzlich sauber. Lediglich im Sanitärbereich war teilweise Schimmel, was zu beanstanden ist. Unser Gastgeber war zwar sehr ruhig und wortkarg, aber dennoch zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das Frühstück wurde selber von unserem Gastgeber vorbereitet und war lecker!

Not recommended

Stayed one night with the family. Facilities are old but would have been ok if it had been properly cleaned. It had been cleaned but not to a high standard. Only visible areas had been cleaned. Toilet and sink not properly cleaned, so asked the host, who said they were clean, so asked for cloth and cleaning spray and cleaned myself. Lots of dust, mould in corners of ceiling and dirty windows. No wardrobe in the room. No luggage storage at all. Breakfast was very basic with low quality ingredients. Definitely not what I would have expected for the price nor from the reviews. Who wrote them?? They don’t reflect reality. Was very disappointed and would not recommend to anyone.

Mobin looked after us, and the breaky was very yummy! Little bit of a walk into town but not too bad. Lots of stairs inside, and the property is dated, but functional. Was perfectly fine for what we needed.

Posizione comodissima a 20 minuti a piedi da Prince Street. Il b&b è veramente confortevole, le camere sono attrezzate di tutto; dal bollitore per prepararsi un caffe o tea, asciugacapelli e tantissime prese!!! Colazione top preparata al momento dal proprietario del b&b.
