The snug was immaculate however we were unable to regulate the heating. In spite of turning all visible controls off, the heat was unbearable to the point we had to open the door at 4am.

Very safe pod with good parking. Only negative was my satnav postcode didn't find the Vu first time.

Easy check in, clean. The shower did not seem to drain very well and when i checked the plug it was full of hair and dirt which wasn’t nice but other than that it was clean. It was also unbearably hot- like a greenhouse. We closed the blinds to prevent the sun getting in but this still didn’t help- fan provided but when it’s so warm it just blew hot air. Microwave and kettle provided and a small fridge but no cutlery plates or anything. It’s also literally in the middle of no where- coming in there isn’t even a path on the road as it is a country road. We knew this but underestimated just how far out it was as prior reviews and the page etc suggested amenities were approx 15 mins walk, which would’ve been fine had there been a path on the road.

Perfect for airport

Really helpful directions before I arrived . Check in was really easy , the pod was located on a hole with amazing views and it was the perfect spot for a night stay before an early morning flight .

Noisy music and guests

Stayed about 10 times in the last 12 months. Usually really nice but this time was very disappointing. Cabin, no issues, clean and comfortable. However there was a large wedding going on with bass music on till 11pm, then the noise from guests moving into the pod areas till very late making alot of noise. Along with this about 20 kids all turned up running and shouting up the grass verge all evening and early morning. It would be nice to be informed on booking that the venue had a wedding. I will probably avoid staying again until the winter and find an alternative place to stay.

The Vu - A Perfect Little Getaway!

This was my first ever trip to Scotland, because we were coming up for a concert in Glasgow so we decided to stay at the Vu. We both had a lovely time. The Vu is incredibly quiet yet scenic with beautiful views, I’d highly recommend everyone to stay. Didn’t want to leave and already looking forward to coming back! Thanks so much :)

My husband and I stayed at The Vu Snugs from June 24th to 27th for a short holiday, and it was truly one of the most peaceful and relaxing getaways we’ve had. The location is absolutely perfect—set right by gorgeous views of the surrounding nature. It was incredibly quiet and serene, the perfect escape from the usual rush of daily life. The snug itself was beautifully done—modern, cozy, and spotlessly clean. The interior design struck the perfect balance between comfort and style, making it so easy to settle in and unwind. We especially loved waking up to the peaceful view each morning and just soaking in the natural beauty from the outdoor seating area. Everything about our stay felt calm and refreshing. We liked the location, comfy bed, hot water, layout of the accommodation. The view was spectacular. Well located for Edinburgh airport. We would have liked more coffee sachets, wine glasses and information in the welcome pack about local places to eat or take aways. The TV signal was poor.

The pods themselves are great. Very spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Did encounter an issue with the heating upon arrival. POD was so hot inside the surfaces were too hot to touch. Never had this happen before. Calls to office and emergency line were not answered. Had to drive around looking for someone and a nice staff, Kirsten, at the event facility helped me. Finally had to disconnect heating completely from pod. Unfortunately had to stay in the pod all night with the doors and window wide open to cool it down enough to be comfortable. Missed my plans and couldn’t leave. The maintenance staff did eventually come and apologized etc. just a freak issue I think but a cleaning staff must have noticed something and it just wasn’t reported. Made for a stressful night unfortunately. Pods themselves though are very nice.
